OUR SOLUTIONS

An Event App That Delegates Actually Open

Your event app should make things easier for everyone in the room — not be the thing they ignore in favour of a printed programme. We build event apps that deliver real utility before, during and after your event.

See What We Build

The Printed Programme Is a Last Resort. The App Should Be the First Choice.

Most event apps fail for one of two reasons. Either they are too basic to be useful — essentially a digital version of the printed programme with nothing else — or they are so complicated that delegates stop opening them after the first day.

The right event app sits between these extremes. It is fast to navigate, contains everything a delegate needs, reflects changes in real time and works reliably in a conference venue where the Wi-Fi is under pressure. It should answer the questions delegates ask most often — what is on now, where is the next session, who is speaking after lunch, how do I get to the poster hall — without requiring more than two taps to find out.

We build mobile and web-based event apps for professional conferences, medical congresses, trade exhibitions and association events. The app is configured around your event programme and branding, and is ready for delegate access well before your event opens.

You choose whether to go native (an app delegates download from the App Store and Google Play) or web-based (accessible via a URL on any smartphone browser without downloading anything). We advise on which approach suits your event and audience better.

What the Event App Includes

Live Programme with Full Session Detail

The centrepiece of any event app is the programme. Delegates need to be able to find what is on, when, where and who is presenting — and they need to be able to do that quickly when they are walking between sessions.

Our programme interface is designed for speed. Sessions are listed by day and time, filterable by track, topic or room. Each session entry links through to a full detail page with the session title, description, speaker names with profile links, room location and any presentation materials your team chooses to publish.

Delegates can bookmark sessions to build a personalised schedule that they can refer to throughout the event without scrolling through the full programme each time.

Speaker Profiles

Speaker profiles go beyond a name and title. Each profile includes the speaker's photo, institutional affiliation, biography and the sessions they are presenting in — with direct links to those sessions in the programme.

For congresses where delegates are specifically attending to hear certain speakers, this is a feature they use frequently. For sponsors of named sessions, the speaker profile is also a visibility touchpoint worth maintaining.

Sponsor & Exhibitor Showcase

Sponsors invest in your event expecting visibility. The app gives you a structured, well-presented channel to deliver that visibility — beyond a logo on a banner.

The sponsor section displays sponsors by tier, with logo, company description and contact or website links. Exhibitors get individual profiles with their booth location, product or service information and any downloadable collateral. For events with an exhibition floor, this section drives booth traffic in a way that a printed floor map cannot.

Interactive Venue Maps & Floor Plans

Delegates in a large venue or convention centre spend time and mental energy finding their way around. A good venue map in the app removes that friction and reflects in the footfall at sessions that are harder to find.

We build interactive floor maps with room labels, session locations, exhibitor booth numbers, food and beverage areas, prayer rooms, toilets and any other key locations your event requires. For multi-level or multi-building venues, maps are organised by level or building with clear navigation between them.

Real-Time Push Notifications

When something changes — a room reassignment, a speaker substitution, a session delay, an announcement from the organising committee — delegates need to know immediately.

Push notifications let you reach every delegate who has the app open (or installed, for native apps) with a direct, targeted message. Notifications can be sent to all delegates or filtered to a specific session audience where the update is relevant only to that group.

This is one of the most consistently appreciated features by both organisers and delegates. It replaces the public address announcement and the last-minute printed insert.

Abstract & Poster Integration

For scientific and academic congresses, the app can surface the abstract book in a searchable, structured format. Delegates can search by author, keyword or topic to find specific presentations and link through to the session in the programme.

Poster sessions can be listed with poster titles, authors and abstract content, so delegates can identify posters they want to visit before the session begins.

Event Information & Practical Details

Delegates use the app to answer practical questions throughout the event — Wi-Fi login details, CPD point claim instructions, social event timing and location, meal arrangements, shuttle schedules. We build a dedicated event information section structured around the practical needs of your specific audience.

For international congresses, this section often includes local travel information, emergency contacts and nearby amenities.

White-Label Branding

The app carries your event branding — colours, logo, visual identity — not ours. Delegates open a 360 Degree app built to look and feel like your congress. For native apps, the app store listing also uses your event name and branding.

Which Should You Choose — Native App or WebApp?

Both approaches have real advantages. Here is how to think about which is right for your event.

Native App (iOS + Android)

A native app is downloaded from the App Store and Google Play before the event. It offers the best performance and offline access — delegates can view the programme, maps and speaker profiles even when the venue Wi-Fi is struggling.

Native apps also allow push notifications on iOS and Android and give the event a more prominent presence on delegates' phones. The trade-off is that delegates need to download the app in advance, which requires earlier promotion and some delegates will simply not bother.

Best suited for:multi-day congresses with a large or repeat delegate base, events with a significant scientific programme, and events where offline access matters.

Web App (Browser-Based)

A web app is accessed via a URL on any smartphone browser — no download required. Delegates are given the link at registration, on event signage and in pre-event communications, and they access it immediately.

Web apps remove the friction of the download step and work across any device. They are faster to deploy and update. The trade-off is that performance is dependent on internet connectivity, and push notifications work differently across browsers.

Best suited for: shorter events, events with a time-constrained delegate base, or situations where a faster deployment timeline is needed.

Our Recommendation

For most professional events, a web app delivers everything delegates need without the download friction. For flagship annual congresses with a loyal delegate base and a large scientific programme, a native app adds meaningful value. We discuss both options with you during scoping and recommend based on your event, your audience and your timeline.

FAQ

How early before the event is the app available to delegates?

We aim to have the app live and communicated to delegates two to three weeks before the event. This gives delegates time to explore it before arriving and for your team to resolve any content issues.

How do we update content in the app during the event?

Programme changes, announcements and notifications can be pushed from the backend in real time. For significant last-minute changes, your team can update directly or submit the change to us and we handle it immediately.

Can delegates log in with their registration account?

Yes. Where the app is integrated with the registration system, delegates log in with their registration credentials and their personalised information — session bookmarks, category-specific content, meeting schedules — is saved to their account.

Can sponsors have a more prominent presence in the app?

Yes. Premium sponsor packages can include push notifications to all delegates, featured placement in the sponsor section, banner placement within the app interface and sponsored session branding in the programme listing.

What languages can the app support?

The app can be built in English and Bahasa Malaysia as standard. Additional language support is available for international congresses with multilingual delegate audiences.

Do you provide analytics on how the app is used?

Yes. Post-event, we provide analytics on page views, most-accessed sessions and speakers, notification open rates and overall app engagement. This data is useful for demonstrating sponsor ROI and for planning the next edition.
